What To Expect
Oyster Pond
The first stop of the day is at Oyster Pond! Spend 5 minutes here before heading over to one of St. Martin's most popular beaches - Orient Bay Beach. Here you will stop for 1.5 hours of beach time. From Orient, the tour will continue over to the French capitol city of Marigot for 40 minutes. Indulge in local fair, open air shopping, French pastries or higher end shopping in the West Indies Mall.

Maho Beach
After stopping in Marigot, head over to the most popular area on the Dutch side. Spend one hour at Maho Beach, where you can watch the planes land and take off. After making your way from Maho Beach, you'll go through the Simpson Bay area, where the nightlife is very lively with multiple delicious restaurants to choose from as well as great nightlife.

Cole Bay
Make one last picture stop on the Cole Bay Hill. See the island layout of the Simpson Bay Marina, airport area and the neighboring islands: Anguilla, Statia and Saba. Upon arrival in Philipsburg area, you may choose to remain in Philipsburg to shop or sight see at your leisure. If you decide to walk back to the ship, it takes between 12 and 15 minutes, or a taxi may take you for approximately $3. For those who would like to return to the ship immediately, simply remain in the vehicle. It is recommended to bring swimwear, suntan lotion, a towel and a fun attitude! Beer, water, soda and rum punch are included all day.

St. Maarten was incredible! And Freddy our tour guide from JoJunie Tours made it that way for us. He really knows St. Maarten and Saint Martin in and out. He’s got a great personality and he makes you want to come back to his home Island again and again! We toured the Island and spent time at Orient Bay Beach. We ended up being a small group and that made it even better. Freddy was flexible and is a wealth of knowledge and history. Thank you Freddy for making out time in your country memorable and we look forward to seeing you again. Can’t wait to come back for more of that great homemade rum punch!

This was the best tour. Definitely a great value for your money. Such a great time. Freddie was the perfect host. We had such a wonderful time. This tour is an absolute must. A beautiful way to see the island and learn the history. Take this tour you will not regret it. We will be coming back for this tour on our next trip to st martin

We were lucky enough to have a private tour for 4 of us. Freddie was a wonderful tour guide. He was knowledgeable and answered all questions. He had a great sense of humor and made sure that we had a fabulous time. We especially enjoyed stories of his life and of so many others. He relayed historical information about the culture and development of the island, as well as of those around St. Maarten. We had an opportunity to spend even more time with him at lunch at a Lolo that he recommended. The only negative for the day was the microphone/system. It was very hard to hear and make out, and we often missed what he said. Freddie attempted to correct this with a second microphone but there was little improvement. Not his fault, and he agreeably raised his voice to be heard. He often stopped for us to take pictures and offered flexibility for our timing at different locations.
Overall an amazing experience. Highly recommend!

Freddie is an excellent tour guide. One of, if not the best, we have ever had.
We were booked on the 1/2 day tour, but due to some system issues, there was a mix up and we ended up on the full day tour. VERY glad we did. (short version on mix up, there was one couple (us) on the 1/2 day, everyone else on the full day, a different couple showed up from a different ship, saying they had to be back early. With their systems down, it was logical to assume that was the 1/2 day couple. )
Anyhow, the tour was great. We got to see so many areas, hear so much history of the island. Freddie pointed out 1 or 2 homes owned by "stars" but that was it, thankfully. Other tours we have been on, they go on and on about meaningless "stars" (which would be 99.99% of them).
Due to traffic, the tour took longer than expected. But Freddie kept tabs on the time, and none of our stops were impacted. 90 minutes at X, was still 90 minutes at X. Just the transport time took longer. Again, our ship left much later, so that afforded that luxury, but other tour operators we have been on have shorted the tour, even when there was adequate "extra" time. Freddie did not do this. That made a world of difference.

Reading the reviews were really helpful and I enjoyed & appreciated this tour of both the French & Dutch side of St Martin/Sint Maarten. There is still repair being done from the hurricane but the scenery is beautiful & natural, the ppl are welcoming, and our tour guide Fred was exceptional, knowledgeable and patient we covered a lot of places and watching the airplane landing and take off is worth it, the food is good too…I loved it and would recommend.

Was not easy to find pickup location and Jo Junie adjusted pickup time due to change in ship arrival to give us time to find them. Would have been nice to know adjusted time. We got there quicker than driver so we needed to wait but we’ll worth the wait. It was just our party of 3 on tour. Etienne our driver was wonderful. Very knowledgeable about island history and fauna. He would see iguanas or flowers that he wanted to tell us more about and would make sure we got close to see and be able to take pictures. Also due to rain showers rather than spending time at beach, he drove to various areas.

Great overview of the island. Just enough time spent at each stop. Freddie was a wonderful guide! Shared history of the island and his personal experiences as an island native, and pointed out interesting facts & sights all along the tour. Very entertaining and informative way to spend the day!
