Orient Bay
La plage d'Orient Bay est un incontournable lors de votre visite de l'ßle de Saint-Martin. Cette plage située au nord-ouest de l'ßle est l'une des plus grandes et des plus populaires. On lui a donné le nom de "Saint-Tropez des Caraïbes", et les sportifs y viennent souvent pour le surf et autres sports nautiques. La plage d'Orient Bay à Saint-Martin se trouve du cÎté de l'océan Atlantique de l'ßle, et le sable blanc, balayé par les alizés, s'étend sur prÚs de 2 kilomÚtres.

Marigot Market
Le marché de Marigot est le rendez-vous à ne pas manquer pour vivre et s'imprégner de l'ambiance locale et des senteurs épicées. Face au front de mer et non loin de Fort Louis, de petites cases créoles ouvertes sur la rue plantent le décor de ce marché haut en couleur. Les marchands locaux de fruits-légumes et d'épices sont installés aux cÎtés des poissonniers pour vous faire découvrir les meilleurs produits de l'ßle.

Maho Beach
Une plage incontournable de Saint Martin, rendue célÚbre grùce à sa situation juste au bout de la piste de l'aéroport international Princess Juliana. Rendez-vous donc sur cette plage pour assister à l'atterrissage et au décollage des gros porteurs. C'est trÚs impressionnant ! Les heures d'arrivée sont également affichées sur une planche de surf.

Rotary Lookout Point
Belle rĂ©serve naturelle. TrĂšs peu profonde et vous pouvez marcher jusqu'Ă la petite Ăźle au milieu de la rĂ©serve, l'eau semble profonde mais elle est extrĂȘmement peu profonde et ne vient qu'Ă vos chevilles. Portez de vieilles baskets ou des chaussures d'eau car c'est trĂšs rocheux.

Philipsburg
Philipsburg est la capitale néerlandaise de l'ßle. La ville s'étend de Salt Pond à la plage en bord de mer. Le port de Pointe-Blanche accueille des bateaux de croisiÚre. Promenez-vous le long de Front Street et Back Street, les deux rues principales de la capitale néerlandaise avec leurs boutiques duty-free et leurs maisons typiques.

Oyster Pond
Ce petit lagon précieux est entouré de hautes collines, occupées par des maisons de luxe uniquement accessibles par des routes escarpées. La frontiÚre entre les deux cÎtés de l'ßle traverse l'étang, la majorité de la partie littorale de Saint-Martin français. C'est une petite communauté autonome avec des bars, des restaurants et un petit supermarché.

In July I booked Soraida's Orange Taxi transfer and tour for November based on a recommendation in the St. Maaarten Forum area. As usual, this proved to be another super forum gem.

Booked for the 6 of us - $45 per person for St. Martin and St. Maarten tour, lunch stop, and delivery to the airport. Soso's twin sister Sonja was our guide for the day beginning at 9 AM at our ship and ending at 2 PM at the airport. Sonja showed us lots of sights and took us to a wonderful outdoor restaurant for a traditional St. Martin outdoor lunch.
Sonja's enthusiasm was contageous, making for a perfect last day of our long vacation.

This is the best taxi service on the island! We booked with Raj through google and have used him our whole trip. Very punctual, knowledgeable about the island and very friendly! He was available at any time of the day and we felt very safe! Highly recommend for taxi service or island tour!
A great tour, excellent value

As this was our first trip to St. Maarten, we were looking for an excursion that would acquaint us with the island without being too "touristy". Our guide, Raj, arrived right on time at the resort for a 1100 A.M. pick up, and right from the get go, I could tell this was to be a worthwhile trip. Raj was very welcoming and laid out the planned itinerary for the day. He let us know the day was ours and he would adjust his plans to suit what interested the group. Raj was a wealth of information on many topics as there were many questions from the group covering every imaginable subject from politics on the island to the recipe of the his mother's rum punch, which just happened to be in a cooler in the back of the van and was offered to us at the beginning and end of the tour. Stops along the tour included some of the most popular beaches, an iguana sanctuary , a local chocolatier on the French side of the island (a huge hit with the group), lunch at a great outdoor restaurant called "Sally's", a stop for a few refreshments at a seaside bar and a stop to watch the incoming and outgoing aircraft at the social media -famous Maho beach right at Queen Juliana airport. The day was a great success - if you are looking for an afforable tour with smaller numbers and want to support a family run business, I highly recommend this excursion. Thank you Raj for a great day.
A Great Overview of St. Maarten by Van

This is a family owned business. Raj, our guide, was wonderful and fun. He has a comfortable van with air conditioning. We toured both the Dutch and French sides. He wasnât in a hurry and allowed as much time as we wanted at each stop. A thoughtful plus for me was a stool to ease the big step from the van to the ground. He answered all of our questions, many with witty stories. His mother makes a good rum punch from her own recipe. We think it includes mango and peach and lime but weâll request the exact recipe. Raj gave us drinks at the beginning and end of our tour.
A few highlights. We stopped by the Iguana Sanctuary and fed the iguanas with large green tree leaves on sticks. We drove past the nude beaches. We loved our stop at Maison Chocolat, another small family owned business which makes delicious unique chocolates by hand. We had a nice lunch at Cynthiaâs Talk of the Town. He described the luxury homes and private jets and yachts owned by the rich and famous. We watched jets take off and land at the infamous airport. We experienced rush hour St. Maarten style. He added lots of personal stories about growing up here.
I highly recommend this tour for an enjoyable and informative overview of the island.

Raj was our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and provided lots of historical facts and anecdotes over the course of the tour, which was a very full six hours. We saw a wide variety of beautiful spots on both sides of the island (Philipsburg, Orient Bay, Grand Case, Marigot, among many), had a great lunch stop at Sallyâs as well as a visit to a local chocolatier, Maison Chocolat and a beachside drink at Captain Frenchyâs. We also saw sea turtles and made a stop at the islandâs iguana sanctuary. The van provided was air conditioned, clean and comfortable. Throughout, Raj could not have been nicer. We also enjoyed Rajâs momâs rum punch - some of the best weâve tasted anywhere. This is a family owned business that works hard to meet the needs and expectations of its customers. Highly, highly recommended!

A great beach day with a great guide

Our favorite part was stopping at a few locations to see the fort, ocean views and iguanas. The beaches were beautiful. The first beach had a wonderful bar, lounge chairs. It was quite and The water was nice. We had lunch at a local restaurant !! The 2nd beach you could watch the planes. He was so kind to stop at a supermarket to get some coins. His van was clean and he knew his island.
