What To Expect

Rhino Riders out to Creole Rock
You don’t need any experience to tame this beast! Captain your own vessel on St. Martin’s original, multi-award winning, interactive tour.

Get ready for the thrill of a lifetime riding on a Rhino- our safe and sturdy signature watercraft, designed to be tons of fun for riders of any age or experience level.

Follow your guide along St. Martin’s sparkling coastline to one of our two exotic destinations. Get a taste of Caribbean wildlife while snorkeling at Creole Rock marine park or soak up the sun on the secluded beaches of Happy Bay.

Upon your arrival at the Rhino HQ, you’ll be welcomed by our enthusiastic staff who will outfit you with the latest safety equipment and snorkeling gear, followed by a quick and entertaining operational briefing to provide you with all the information necessary to have a safe and enjoyable Caribbean adventure.

Once you’ve been assigned to your own user-friendly watercraft, our signature Rhino Rider, you will perform a few supervised test spins before following your guide out into the exotic waters of the Simpson Bay Lagoon

The Adventure Begins, The Lagoon Crossing

As you follow your guide through the Caribbean's largest lagoon, you’ll maneuver safely between hundreds of boat anchorages, cruising alongside the mega yachts of the Rich and Famous. Check out luxury vessels owned by the likes of Michael Kors, U2, the late Steve Jobs, and even catch a glimpse of the world’s top models sunbathing onboard Victoria Secret's "Limitless" mega yacht. As you take in these extravagant surroundings, jumbo jets will fly overhead, taking off from our iconic Princess Juliana International Airport and headed for the surrounding hills.

Make your way beneath the Dutch causeway, crossing St Martin’s international border, and exit under the French bridge into the clear, sparkling turquoise of the Caribbean Sea. Then proceed forward to discover the tropical bay of the French capital of Marigot.

Zooming Through The French Side

The first site you will notice dominating Marigot’s skyline is Fort Louis perched on top of the hill, a French military fort built in 1789 in order to protect the warehouses of the city. At its feet is a marina that still carries the fort’s name, serving as a homeport for dozens of luxury sailboats and mega-yachts

Further along in your St. Martin excursion is Gallis Bay, where the wrecked remains of an old steel cargo ship still lingers offshore, providing shelter to many species of Caribbean wildlife. Some days, you will also find the largest clipper sailboat in the world, the Stad Amsterdam, anchored in this bay. From there, hold on to your sunglasses and push the throttle to the max as you speed towards the next bay!

Passing By Paradise

As you skip and splash from bay to bay along the island’s coastline, you’ll be served panoramic views of the finest St. Martin beaches. Lover’s Beach, the smallest on the island, offers enough sand for just two souls on a same towel. Friars Bay, where locals party the night away during every full moon, also presents two locally-renowned reggae food shacks on its shore’s edge. Happy Bay, which is perhaps the most charming of all the island’s secluded beaches, features hills grazed by goats and shores lined with tall palm trees, making it the preferred spot for honeymooners.

Pressing along to your final destination you will pass one of the island’s longest bays, unveiling the town of Grand Case, a small fisherman village that now serves as the restaurant capital of the Caribbean. You will have a memorable moment sliding your Rhino with ease through the waters of its bay and pulling close to discover the village shore.

Take The Plunge

Looking out at the horizon, you can see your the object of your journey, Creole Rock, which is a rock formation emerging from the water at the far end of the bay, as well as one of the finest snorkeling destinations in the Caribbean. Moor your Rhino to the guide’s boat, put on your mask and fins, and jump right into the crystal clear sea to meet the inhabitants of this aquatic paradise. Experience this colorful underwater world as you snorkel under the watchful supervision of your guide.

Enjoy floating on warm tropical waters as the playful sergeant-major fish surround you, watch the colorful parrot fish having a feast among the coral, or look for the lobsters’ antennas peeping out of holes. Conchs, crabs, and starfish starfish can be found inhabiting the ocean floor, and if you are lucky enough, you can also spot stingrays, turtles, barracudas or even dolphins hopping around the surf.

The entire formation and surrounding area is part of La Reserve Naturelle de St. Martin, a protected government marine park. Enjoy! If you're not a snorkeler, you can relax on the Rhino soaking up the sun rays, swim over to the rock and hit land, or enjoy a complimentary drink under the Caribbean sunshine while listening to one of your guides thousand anecdotes. With Rhino Safari, the Caribbean is at your fingertips.

This was an amazing activity.
Our guides Issaia and Omar were amazing.

We had so much fun riding the boat.
The snorkeling was great. Wish we had more time at the snorkel spot.
Great for couples

This is a must for couples coming to st Maarten. The sights are beautiful, and the guides are all relaxed and friendly. You get to snorkel at creole rock and see beautiful fish.
What a trip!

I can not say enough about this excursion. We loved it. The check in was smooth and friendly and we were given a safety speech and then put on our boat. After getting a feel for it we were off with a guide, around 8-10 other boats and another employee taking pictures and bringing up the rear. A boat in our group had trouble and both guides were immediately on top of it to make sure they were up and running and not left. We saw some gorgeous scenery on the way to Creole Rock to snorkel. Don't worry about getting back on the Rhino Riders from the water. If you have trouble like I did, they help you on with no problems. On the way back we encountered a storm and rough water, which was no fault of theirs. It was Hurricane season and you get what you get. They made sure we were all together and making it back safely. When we got back we were able to view our pictures and pay $20 for all of them. I had them emailed to me and they were in my inbox with in 24 hours. I would totally recommend this tour.
Best Ever Excursion

Loved, loved, loved this excursion. It was so amazing. I was scared at first (always a chicken) but once I got used to it, I did not want to get off. The snorkeling was AMAZING. Loved every bit of this excursion. We will definitely do it again once we’re in St. Maarten again.
Awesome tour !!

GREAT experience for me and my wife; loved the tour of the island and the snorkeling! We’ve been on more of these than we can count and this one ranks up near the top.
Fun Experience!

What a great morning in St.Maarten! Such fun riding these boats. They are quite sturdy and can go fast! The team are organized, helpful and patient. Nice snorkel equipment, too. The ride over was a bit wild and rainy but of course that lasts only a few minutes. Coming back was a treat as we got to go faster and spread out. Very fun!
Great time!!

Had a blast riding these powerful watercraft all the way up the coast before snorkeling in beautiful waters off a soft sand beach. Our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable as our group felt very safe the entire trip.

Very nice experience. Equipment was in good shape. Other times I’ve rented similar experiences it wasn’t. Staff was amazing and friendly. They took some great photos and we purchased that package.
Don't miss activity on Sint Maarten
RosalynA, 13-12-2022
This is a must do if visiting Sint Maarten. We've done this trip twice - on a clear day and also when the water was more churned up so visibility was less. Even if we couldn't see a lot in the water it was still fantastic fun on these great little boats with the great Rhino Tours team. Fantastic experience with wonderful service/coordination from start to finish.
Amazing Rhino Rider Adventure

Driving the Rhino Riders was so much fun and we got to see things we never would have from land or a catamaran.
Fabulous s time in the water.
Carol_C, 20-01-2023
Four of us went and it was fun and fabulous. The guides were great. A really fun day in the water. We were able to see half the water and then snorkeled in the middle of the ride. We went full throttle on the way back and it was great ride!
The guys were very...
Robert_F, 16-12-2022
The guys were very personal, but you could tell there was a bit attention between them for some reason. Should probably stop the snorkel stop as there was really nothing to see and the water current is fairly difficult to navigate. The boats definitely need some overdue maintenance.
Okay. Snorkels sucked, but the ride was a lot of fun. Guide super nice.
traveller_couple_cc, 30-01-2023
We did the Rhino Riders tour and snorkeling trip on a day our cruise ship arrived to St. Martin. Overall it was a good trip. The little boats are zippy fast and powerful. They were fun to drive and they fit 2 people which was nice. Kind of like a jet ski turned into a boat (in fact I think that's what it was). Driving them was the most fun part of the trip. Unfortunately when we went (December) there were very few fish this time of the year. Also, for me the biggest bummer was that the snorkel equipment didn't work well. A piece fell out of mine and made it un-usable. They also didn't bring enough snorkels for everyone, so one person had to trade off. The tour guide was super nice and friendly. He explained they were new snorkels and they'd to fix these issues. But it seemed it would have been smart if they brought at least a few backup snorkels. And how long have they been doing this and still didn't bring backups? Anyway, fun trip but could have been better during a better time of the year and with working snorkels.
Anticlimactic and it goes to a nude beach and let’s you jump in for only 10 min
X7009WMkristens, 27-08-2022
The boats are fun but we went to Happy beach were clothing is optional so there are people on the beach that were nude and there were children in our group Also they make it sound like a great snorkel excursion they gave us only ten minutes to jump in the water and where we were the underwater sea life wasn’t great.
Fun but disorganized
CarolineC266, 16-11-2022
They were very disorganized. Took forever to load the boats and then they cut our swimming time from 25 minutes to 10 because they couldn’t dock up. It was fun but they weren’t on top of it and we spend a ton of time just circling.
More fun on a calm day
F1140HZkrism, 12-12-2022
Enjoyed getting out on the water but we had very rough water and when we went to snorkel we could not see anything as the water was so cloudy with all the churned up sand. We had to switch boats two times, the first time we ran out of gas and the second time we had a rope we ran over that wrapped around prop. The guys did a great job attending to our unfortunate boat problems and helping people back in to the boats after snorkeling, so they did what they could. I would recommend going on a more calm day so you can drive fast and actually see fish.
Boats were fun; snorkeling not great
Jessie_S, 24-01-2023
The boats were fun to drive/ride. Getting to this location was not made clear and was a bit difficult. The snorkeling was not good at all.
Ok
David_R, 19-01-2023
Hardly any fish in the area we were in. I was also disappointed that there was very little information about the other charges we got once we were there such as the marine charges it was $5 on the paperwork $6 once we got there.
